A touch of spice in life.

SUGAR AND SPICE.

It is in the playful twist of the cinnamon bark, in the delicate details of the cloves and in the bittersweet dusting of nutmeg. Gingerbread winter spices in their fullest homely warmth and jolliness.

Ingredients: 2 spoons ground ginger, 2 spoons ground cinnamon, 1/2 spoon freshly ground cloves, 2 ground nutmeg, 6 crushed balls of allspice, a pinch of freshly powdered black pepper.

Combine the ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, allspice and pepper gently in the exact proportions.

Christmas is in the air - in Poland it is usually drowned out by the sweet scent of gingerbread. Soon, gingerbread cookies, or better yet, loaf, will be baking. With real honey, these winter goodies should “ripen” for weeks, letting the essence of home made spices soak through the layers.

That’s the touch of (holiday) spice in life.
